Loose or broken dentures: what to do

What should I do first?
Keep the denture and any broken pieces in a container. Avoid wearing an appliance with sharp edges or one that causes pain. Do not use household glue, file or bend the denture yourself.
Repair, reline or replacement?
A repair addresses damage. A reline changes the fitting surface to suit the mouth. Replacement may be considered when condition, fit or bite cannot be managed adequately. The suitable option depends on examination, materials and the cause.
Can adhesive fix a loose denture?
Adhesive does not correct an ill fitting denture. Repeated looseness or increasing adhesive use is a reason to book a fit review.
What to tell us when you call
